Dear student, This Business Policy (BMGT 4046H) module is designed to ensure that you are familiar and up to date with current theory and practice pertaining to business policy / corporate strategy. This Study Guide sets out the module aims, the key features of the module and also explains important concepts and elements in relation to your study. Study pointers are provided along with guidelines for the completion of the assigned learning tasks. Please use the Study Guide to guide your study in conjunction with the other learning supports - the assigned text book (Grant, 2010), journal articles, cases and slides. Given the demands on your time, make sure you take time to organize and plan your study time – start your reading as soon as is possible as the more prior preparation you complete, the better and more lasting and meaningful your learning will be. Learning is not unidirectional in that the coordinator (teacher/lecturer) lectures or teaches and the students study and listen. It is essential to note that students are co-producers of a module offering and in that role you are expected to make informed contributions, particularly during the seminar sessions. Should you need clarification on module matters in this Study Guide, do not hesitate to contact me. I hope you will enjoy the Business Policy module and wish you good luck with the rest of your study and for the future.
