In your work as a teaching assistant you have been asked to design a child development booklet for new staff, children and young people, and their families. Task 1

Links to Learning Outcome 1, Assessment Criteria 1.1 and 1.2 Design a child development booklet which outlines the expected pattern of development for children and young people from birth to 19 years, to include a chart or timeline which illustrates the different aspects of development:   –  Social development

Write a short description, with examples, which explains the difference between sequence of development and rate of development and why the difference is important.
