Broad aim: This unit introduces learners to working with children. The scheme will examine the roles and responsibilities of professionals in promoting the rights of children and the principles underlying best practice. The unit will also consider the range of provision for children locally and nationally. There will also be provision for learners to develop relevant study and time management skills.
