From 0-19 years

1.1 Expected patterns in child and young person development Children and young person development is holistic which means that all the aspect of something rather than just parts and each areas being interconnected. We need to look at all area of their development in relation to the particular aspect of development or learning we are focusing on. All children and young people are unique and special, and they develop dose follow expected patterns, from birth to 19 years, include: Physical development

The important area over all in children’s and young person development most . And in this area with support in order to do this they will need to develop: General coordination
Hands-eye coordination, use the eyes to direct attention . And the hands to execute a task such as catching ball or handwriting. Grosse motor skill by using larger muscles such those in arms and legs for example: walking , running , jumping , hopping , skipping , throwing ,balance. Fine motor skill by using smaller muscles such as those in the fingers to be able for example: writing , threading , painting , drawing , holding knife and fork to be able to feed themselves.

0-3 years-Period of fast physical development
When they are born, they have little control over the body. They movements are dependent on a series of reflexes such as sucking, swallowing , grasping . Development of mobility such as crawling, rolling, begins to hold object when place in hands, grabs on adult fingers. Second year grow and develop more quickly so they can star to walk Control movements , able to hold small object ,able to play with ball , starting to dress and feed themselves , use hands for pointing , climbing on the stairs or furniture, enjoy song and dancing. Third have more control over the body, starting walk and run with more confidence, more control over the pencils and crayons, enjoy looking at and turning pages in books , able to use the toilet ,some co-operative play. Keen to copy the adult. 3-7 years-Period of more coordinated movements

More control over fine motor skill such as cutting , writing and drawing. More confidant in activities such as running , hoping , kicking ball and use larger equipment. 7-12 years-Period of control and development

Control fine movements such as those required playing instrument or sewing. Start to have hobbies and interest, such as sport or dance. Able to ride a two wheeled bike . Girls will star to show some of early puberty. 12-16 years-Period of adolescence

Young people still will grow stronger. Boys start to go through puberty . Facial hair start to grow, voice mutation, they will get taller and stronger, although the can be variety in height and strength. Girls will have regular period, their body will change, the hips and breast will grove. They will becoming self- conscious about physical appearance. 16-19 years-Period in which young people are adult

Girls have reached physical maturity.
Boys will continue to grow and change until their mid- 20s

Communication and intellectual development
They are very closely related due to importance of language and its link to learning. Children from earliest stages will learn in different ways, some will found things to learn harder or easier than others due to their own abilities and strengths. 0-3 years

* Start babble
* Start to listening language, recognise mother and father voice * Distinguish objects from each other
* Enjoy play with small worlds
* Enjoy song and games
* Start to try to speak at around 12 months
* 1-2 year they start to put worlds together
* Vocabulary star to increase
* 2 year most children will have 200 words
* Between 2-3 year children will star to use negatives and plurals in their speech * More co-operative with other children
3-7 years
* Become more social having friends, co-operating with other...
