ENGL 2311, Technical Writing is designed to improve the student’s ability to gather and to communicate
information in his or her major field. Emphasis is on form and method. Subject matter includes business
letters, technical papers, and reports.

Writing Assignments 5-6
1. Writing Assignments: You will complete 8 writing assignments. You are allowed one late Writing Assignment without penalty. I do not accept a second late paper. Additionally, any assignment that does not conform to the submission guidelines will be considered incomplete and will be graded accordingly. REWRITE OPTION: You may, if you wish, rewrite any three of assignments 1-4 for a whole new grade. Turn in rewrites before 11:00 am on Wednesday August 13; be sure to turn in original graded assignment with rewrite. 2. Readiness Tests: The goal of the Readiness Tests (RTs) is to ensure students read and understand relevant chapters from the texts at the start of each assignment; hence, they are testing your readiness to begin the assignment.
