Physical Development from birth till 3 years old
At the birth all the babies are dependent on their parents however they do learn and explore such as when new born baby is awake the look around by moving their heads, watch and begin to recognise their carer or parents . At this age of birth to 18 months babies grow and develop with great speed. Three months old baby will be able to kick their leg and stretch the arms, can lift their head up when lying also the babies can turn side to side this we can define as gross motor skills. By using fine motor skills the babies can hold a small toy for a short period of time also the try to grab your finger and play. They also react on the sounds they hear and begin to move their head towards the things which makes voice. Six months old babies develop more and do use more gross motor skills such as they may try to roll over from back to from, may hold up hands to be picked up and they may also be able to sit without support for a short period of time. In fine motor skills they can pass to toys from one hand to another and has learned to drop the things. Nine months old baby plays a major part in gross motor skills because in here they can start learn to crawl, when sitting can turn sides to reach the toys. Furthermore, they can use fingers to point at things. With 12 months old babies gross motor skills can be that they can stand alone, can start walking but will tend to fall or sit suddenly or also can walk few steps if someone is holding them. In fine motor skills they can begin to show preference for one, put small objectives in to a container blocks in to a beaker. In fifteen to eighteen months old babies can walk independently, can get up to standing position without any help or support and may be able to walk up and down the stairs without adult's help and can push or pull toys when walking. In fine motor skills they can pick up and from a cup by using both hands. Eighteen months old babies can begin to use the tripod grasp when using pencil and crayons, can pull off shoes and fascinated buttons, zip. Two years old child gross motor skills are enjoying climbing on furniture, walks and run more safely and steadily, can sit on tricycle and use feet to move. In fine motor skills they can turn the page one by one, can build a tower of 5 to 6 bricks. Also they can hold the pencil firmly and can draw circle and dots and uses preferred hands. Three years old child can walk on tip toe, kick the ball forward, can move around objectives showing spatial awareness, can walk on steps with one foot on each step. In fine motor skills they have more control on holding the pen or crayon and can draw face, can colour in more neatly can build a tower of 9 to 10 bricks, can match 2 to 3 colours. Communication Development from birth till 3 years old

Children develop their communication and thinking skills rapidly. At the birth babies communicate by crying for instance if the baby is hungry, they also cry differently for different reason such as tiredness and boredom. Three months old babies get attached very easy to their mother or carer. Moreover, shows pleasure, feelings, emotions, smiles and also move their arm and legs when held in excitement. Six months old babies may start to play with family members or may get afraid from stranger, will enjoy being playing with and may ''cling'' to mother or main carer. Nine months old babies may start to drink from the cup without adult's help, may need comfort toy or object to take to bed also may feel happy to play alone. Twelve months old babies may begin with helping to dress up by holding out leg or arm, use fingers to feed themselves, will enjoy someone company when eating, show affection for parents and family, need to hold hand to feel safe, will start saying mom or dad.
